We love cast iron yeah yeah, yeah!!! We found a spot called "the Pawn Shop" in Damariscotta, Maine with my buddy Bob Ireland that was a whole house in which every room had it's own found treasures. All these cast iron pans were on the wall in the basement. These are all ol school cast iron pans. Numbered and all.
I love being able to work on both coasts- all I need is an apron and a knife, and maybe the Bartlett truck in town on Nantucket for my fresh vegetables and fruit.
Looking forward to cooking out of my buddy Kathryn Ireland's new book. I have a really good Sneeky recipe in there.
Belcampo is where I get my eggs and chickens. The real "farm to table" joint - I'm going to make my "chicken on a can" this week so stayed tuned cause I'll be ah posting it!
Stevie boy and I came here 17 years ago when we were dating. This historic Santa Barbara property was redone from the ground up. Everything was great, from the room to the food, to the view from the pool. A great weekend getaway for Angelenos.
