My newest obsession. It will change your life as it has mine.

This truffle salt is my newest obsession. I put it on everything from eggs to popcorn. You can literally put it on whatever tickles your fancy. Recently I have been popping a bag of popcorn, drizzling olive oil on it (sometimes truffle oil) and then sprinkling it with truffle salt. I am offering an unbeatable deal on this salt through OpenSky. Follow me to receive this deal as well as other incredible ones. https://opensky.com/lulupowers

Me and Dan from The Dan Band

Justin Bieber, Scooter and Usher

Baby, Baaby, baaaaby

Recently I did the decor for Scooter Braun's (Justin Bieber's manager) 30th birthday party at the music box in Hollywood. Figuring I was going to meet the whole Justin Bieber crew I decided it was a good idea for me to watch "Never Say Never" and to my surprise it was a total 10. It was truly inspirational, all ages should see this movie whether they are a Bieber fan or not. He is not a "manufactured pop star" he has true talent, charisma and a great smile from the age of 2. Yes, he is a musical prodigy. He even won over my husband Stevie who downloaded his music. What a birthday party! MC Hammer, Usher and the Dan Band performed. If you don't know about The Dan Band check them out, they are a lot of fun!

Present of the Week

My good friend Kimm Uzielli gave these personalized bracelets to our group of girlfriends. The outside of the bracelet is engraved with my initials and the inside has all of our names on it. She got them from Halcyon Days a UK based company known mostly for their enamelled copper boxes but offer a wide variety of jewelry, clocks, music boxes and many other great gift ideas. The good news is you do not have to go all the way to London to snag these great bangles. You can order and engrave them for your friends and family at http://www.halcyondays.co.uk/. They make great presents!!

Find of the Week

I just discovered these great bags by Stephanie Johnson. With out even knowing, the print I picked is called Nantucket Natural, I subconsciously gravitate towards anything Nantucket. She offers a wide variety of patterns and shapes including traveler bags and iPAD cases. I like to get as much use out of a single item as I can. This weekend I am using my LAURA Large Trapezoid cosmetic bag as a clutch for a wedding I'm attending. I like to throw my phone, pens, stickies and change into the IRIS Small Box and of course one of my personalized sharpies, you never know when an idea will hit me! See picture below. There's a million uses for these bags, be creative!

Check out my new stationery line!!!

I recently joined forces with cocodot, a chic online invitation company, to come up with my own line of stationery. You can use my new line to send out online invitations or order printed stationery!! I had such a blast designing this line! Each collection of cards holds a precious memory from the collection of cards originating from my beloved Dad's pants called Jimmy's Cocktail Slacks to the photos of my family from Nantucket and holiday memories. Please check out the entire collection!!! I hope you enjoy them just as much as I enjoyed making them. Lulu Powers "The Summer Entertaining Collection"

Farm to Table

Erika (Grundy) Nakamura and Amelia (Lindy) Posada

espelette pepper mustard

Lindy & Grundy is the most beautiful butcher shop I have ever seen. It is located within walking distance from my home and has become the only place I go to to buy my meat. My husband Stevie is obsessed with this place ever since our dear friend Todd told us about it. The shop is run by Erika Nakamura and Amelia Posada (aka Lindy and Grundy), these two women have become powerhouses within their industry. All products: meat, eggs, potatoes, onion, etc. are all local, organic, hormone free and come from within 100 miles. Last night I hosted my cooking club at my house. Our theme for the evening was farm to table. No whole foods, no Trader Joes, no Ralphs, and so on. Their ingredient must be locally harvested. Buying produce from a farmers market will last you twice as long as anything you purchase from the grocery store. I bought steak, sausages and lamb from Lindy and Grundy. I rubbed the steak and the lamb with espelette pepper mustard from Monsieur Marcel which I grilled. I also grilled the sausages and used the mustard as a dip, it was delicious! This mustard is a great item to keep on hand. It can be used many ways. You can add mayo, garlic and fresh herbs to turn it into an aoili or just on a great hot dog. Bottom line, this mustard is a great condiment to be used on almost anything. Buy two!

Find of the Week- Frederic Malle Candle

My friend Colleen gave this candle out to her guests at a recent party she threw and I have become addicted to the scent. This candle attempts to recreate that ephemeral odor of the living room after the end of a Parisian dinner. Click Here To Purchase It!

I keep mine in the entry way of my house. Its such a comforting smell to walk in to.
