Happy Beer Week from Lulu!

Happy Beer Week! What's on your tap? In honor of the special week I'm serving up my dear friend DP's famous Johnsonville Brats recipe. 


You will need:

  • 2 packs of six Johnsonville Brats
  • Le cruset
  • 4 yellow onions. If you can get Vidalia, rock them out. They're sweeter.
  • A couple can of Bud, Miller, or PBR- nothing imported- it will change the flavor profile


Peel the onions and cut north to south. Then cut in healthy chunks east to west- no dicing

Layer bottom of pot with onion-then pile on the sausage

Add remainder of onion

Add couple cans of beer 

 Let soak on the lowest of burner for a minimum of 2-3 hours. Don't over cook or the sausage will break or become dumpling like

Then grill to you're desire.

Serve them this Sunday while watching the game or grill them outside while having a BBQ if the weather allows it. Just don't forget to serve them alongside an ice cold beer.
