Valentine Breakfast in Bed
/Well, I know you know it’s almost Valentines . Stevie is always the one to make coffee every morning, warm the milk, and get me out of bed so we can share “coffee talk” in the nook, a great little room off my kitchen. This valentines day I will make him breakfast in bed and I am giving you some really easy ideas if you choose to do the same.
Hello Bisquick!!!! Fast, easy and delicious with some of my favorite toppings. I cooked my biscuit in a little cast iron skillet. Just another fun way to bring your dish from oven to table.
Lulu’s Breakfast Strawberry Shortcake
Shortcake
2 1/3 c. Bisquick
3 tbsp. sugar in the raw
3 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. milk
Topping
1 cup greek yogurt
1 tbs maple syrup
1 tsp pure Madagascar vanilla bean paste
mint leaves for garnish
1/2 cup fresh cut berries
Combine Bisquick and sugar in bowl. Add melted butter and milk. Mix until combined. Press into greased mini lodge pan and bake for 15-20 minutes at 400 degrees.
Mix greek yogurt, maple syrup and vanilla bean paste. Top shortcake with generous amount of mixture and berries. Garnish with a sprinkle of sugar and fresh mint leaves.
I LOVE eggs!!!! Soft boiled especially, and Stevie can’t get enough of avocado toast. You can top it with basically anything, but I like to keep it simple. His favorite olive oil, truffle salt and a sprinkle of ground Harissa.
Writing with white pen on a colored paper is a unique way to make your message stand out. I always have a lot of corks so it was perfect to cut a slit in the cork and slide my message in.
Lets face it. Valentines day is all about the candy, all kinds, but especially Hershey kisses. You can always find a hershey kiss in my house. I have been obsessed with them since I road up in the big hershey kiss as a kid while in Hershey, Pennsylvania visiting the chocolate factory. Ahh, good memories.
And I couldn’t resist adding in a little afternoon sneeky.
